Who we are

1209 Studio, located in Achiase, Eastern Region, Ghana, is the data controller for photographs and personal details collected during studio sessions, event coverage, express photo walk-ins, and photo restoration orders.

What we collect & why

• Booking & Job Details: Your name, phone/WhatsApp number, package booked, and unique studio job code (e.g. 1209-YYMMDD-###) to deliver your order.
• Photographs & Scans: Camera files, edited proofs, print files, and customer-supplied photographs brought in for restoration or reprinting.
• Consent & Reward Records: Your electronic initials signature, selected consent channels, and redeemable 1209 Studio Reward credit balance.

Public portfolio consent

Paying for a photography session never automatically places your photographs in our public gallery or marketing materials. All client shoots are private by default.

• We only display a photograph on 1209studio.pages.dev, studio frames, or printed materials if you give separate, voluntary permission (signed electronically with your initials on Client Access or in studio).
• Children & Minors: For any person under 18, public display requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian—never the child alone.

Withdrawal, access & deletion

Under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:

• Withdraw public consent at any time: Message 026 960 9634 on WhatsApp with your name and job code. We will promptly remove the image from our website and digital channels and will not include it in future print runs.
• Request access or correction: Ask what contact details, consent records, or reward credits we hold for you and request corrections.
• Request archive deletion: Ask us to permanently delete your archived camera/print files once your paid order has been delivered.

How long we keep files

• Private Gallery Proofs & Links: Available for 30 days from delivery so you can select favourites and download web/social copies.
• Studio Reorder Archive: Final edited files are kept securely offline in the 1209 Studio Lab for up to 12 months to make reprints and framing easy, unless you ask us to delete them earlier.
• No Third-Party Selling: We never sell, rent, or trade client photographs or phone numbers to third-party businesses.

Zero tracking cookies

Our website and installable phone app (PWA) do not use invasive advertising trackers or third-party marketing cookies. Offline caching on your phone is used strictly so pages and price lists load quickly even without mobile data.
